Dr. Kimberly Michel

Optometrist/Business Owner

Dr. Michel has been practicing at this Costco location since 2015 under Dr. Richard Rodriguez and became owner of the practice when he retired in 2020. She thoroughly enjoys patient care in the Costco setting. Her passion is working with her patients to determine the best optical solution for their lifestyle needs. She particularly enjoys multifocal contact lenses.  She is a North County San Diego native, but briefly ventured to chilly Chicago for Optometry school at the Illinois College of Optometry. 

Dr. Tania Waskiewicz

Optometrist

Dr. Waskiewicz joined our practice in 2024. She enjoys dry eye management and fitting soft contact lenses as well as multifocal contacts. She is excited to empower her patients with preventative daily practices to avoid eye strain, fatigue, and accelerated cataract development. Dr. Waskiewicz attended UCSD and the College of Optometry at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. She lives here in San Marcos with her husband and enjoys art, traveling, succulents/gardening, and playing video games.

Dr. Vanessa Kashak

Optometrist

Dr. Kashak joined our practice in 2018. She enjoys fitting contact lenses, managing Dry Eye Syndrome and treating Amblyopia, a vision condition that kids need corrected early on to have better vision for the rest of their lives. Dr. Kashak attended Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton. She enjoys spending her days off with her husband and two children. 

Dr. Sharon Leong

Optometrist

Dr. Leong joined our practice in 2021. She enjoys fitting contact lenses and managing ocular disease. She enjoys patient-centered eye care and making sure that patients are satisfied with their glasses and contact lens options. Dr. Leong attended New England College of Optometry in Boston and lives here in San Diego with her husband and two children. 

Dr. Richard Rodriguez

Optometrist, Retired

After 17 years at this location, Dr. Rodriguez officially retired in December 2022. We know he had many loyal patients over those years and we look forward to continuing to provide quality care to those patients in the future. He has been plenty busy during his retirement. He has enjoys car clubs, line dancing classes and his new role as grandpa!
